My hyacinth bloomed!

This is my favorite spring flower. And for some reason the past 2 years, they haven't bloomed.

Yesterday I had the most pleasant surprise. I thought the boys had left a toy on the hill in our backyard, then I took a closer look. It was my hyacinth!!! Now, as to where the rest of them are...it is a mystery. But I'm so happy to see this little guy.

Dig around for the remaining bulbs and gently move to a position not so deep in the soil. Sounds like they are in too deep now to get enough sun/water to grow. But the bulb should still be good. That's what my Granny used to say.

Thanks for the tip Carol! You need to have a little garden. I remember all your plants in your house, they were so pretty!

I think it's cute that there is only one little one poking up. I planted some hydrangeas and Peonies last Fall. I'm anxious to see what happens this year.
